Invite an organisation to take part
Anyone can invite an organisation to register. Share the registration link with the organisation. The organisation decides whether to participate. Nothing is published about an organisation unless it registers.
If you have a safeguarding concern about an organisation, do not use this route. Contact the organisation's safeguarding lead, the relevant regulator or local authority, or the police. In an emergency call 999.
How participation works
Step 1: Register
An authorised person registers the organisation, declares its governance scope and assigns the required roles. No documents are requested.
Step 2: Confirm
Each required role holder confirms the organisation's safeguarding governance declarations. No one person can complete a cycle alone. The first cycle must be completed within 30 days.
Step 3: Maintain
Ⰻ Safeguarding Status is published on the organisation's entry and is valid for 90 days. The renewal review opens 30 days before expiry. If it is not completed in time, the status becomes Withheld until it is.
Participation is subject to a flat monthly fee. Fees do not affect Ⰻ Safeguarding Status. See the Participation terms.
The Zakrila Index
The Zakrila Index is an independent system for measuring, evidencing and maintaining safeguarding frameworks. It records whether time-bound safeguarding governance conditions are currently evidenced. It does not certify that an organisation is safe, does not guarantee the absence of harm, and does not replace organisational, statutory or regulatory safeguarding responsibilities.
